Lack of an effective damp proofing in the early construction of a property can allow for the development of rising damp to occur within its walls.

Rising damp is often revealed when a building survey is being carried out. If however dampness has been in the walls for a prolonged period, the appearance of damp patches may occur along with the walls surface being covered with hygroscopic salts

To treat the issue effectively it required that the wall plaster be removed to up to one meter or higher, along with having a new damp proof course installed within the walls

How is a damp proof course installed?

The masonry at the base of the affected walls is pattern drilled after which a special silicone formulation is injected into the cavity until the entire depth is fully filled.

The formulation sets within the wall to create an impervious barrier to rising damp and moisture is prevented from rising from the ground into treated walls.

This method is a cost effective and reliable way to treat and guarantee damp walls are no longer a problem for you. The treatment will stop moisture from rising and the masonry will start to dry out
